How to Eat for Health

If you are serious about taking control of your health, you must eat only organic, live foods. Eat nothing canned, boxed, artificial, instant or over-cooked. Incorrect eating, drinking and food combining has played a large part in the condition you are in now.  You must take action to change the foods you eat and how you combine them to see a change in your body’s condition. Vegetables are alkaline forming in your body, which is why they are so important to the program.

Alkaline & Acid Foods

Note:  All foods should be organic.  Vegetable juice is much easier to digest.  Eat one pound of vegetables per fifty pounds of body weight or drink the juice of the same or a combination of both.

Vegetables

  • Eat them raw or lightly sautéed on a low heat in good oil. Eat as much as you want. You never have to be hungry.
  • Eat 1 pound of vegetables per day per every 50 pounds you weigh
  • Juice them! This is the best way to get in all of your veggies in a day. You get all of the enzymes and nutrients in an easy to absorb form.
  • Veggie juice= 3/4 carrots + 1/4 mixed veggies
  • Juicer- I recommend the Breville Juice Fountain available at Bed, Bath & Beyond or Linen & Things. It is $150, but if you use a 20% off coupon, you can get it for $120. It works great and is easy to clean.

Seasonings – Sea Salt, Herbs and Spices (No black pepper)
Oil – Organic Olive, Coconu,t & Flaxseed 1 TBS of each per day
Beans – Organic, dried
Water – Pure Telluride Water or pure spring water
Herbal Teas – Any natural teas made with pure spring water. Roastaroma by Celestial       Seasonings is a great coffee substitute.

If you are not in a degenerative state you may add the following:

Nuts & Seeds – Raw (not roasted) Sunflower, Pumpkin, Chia, Walnuts & Almonds
Eggs – Organic
Meats & Fish – Organic, no more than 6 oz. per day. These are acid forming.
Coffee – Fresh ground organic in moderation

If you are free of parasites, microbes, yeast, etc. you may add:

Fruit – Organic. Only lemons, limes, grapefruits, tomatoes, avocados & rhubarb are alkaline producing. Watermelon is neutral. All other fruits are acid forming.
Grains – Organic whole grains (Limit these as they are acid forming)

Do not mix proteins and carbohydrates. Vegetables can be eaten with either. Eat fruit alone, ½ hour before or an hour after every other type of food. Your food intake must be 80% alkaline forming foods and only 20% acid forming foods to remain alkaline. If you are not in excellent health and your pH is in the 7.2-7.4 range, you should eat only alkaline forming foods.
