Healthcare

With nearly 50 million Americans un-insured and the ever-rising costs for health care and medicines (and many companies are cutting or eliminating health care benefits to save money), isn't it FINALLY TIME  for us to be PREVENTION oriented?  Rather than treating SYMPTOMS, to treat the underlying CAUSES?  Yet, according to ACPM (American College Of Preventive Medicine), of nearly ONE MILLION M.D.’s in the USA, only 6,000 are practicing PREVENTIVE MEDICINE!

Moreover, this tremendously small number of M.D.’s is shrinking fast!  If the USA is so “amazing” with medicine, then WHY is the USA ranked number 38 in "quality of health care", even lower than many "third world" countries?

    Political Manipulation in the Extreme

Reimbursing doctors so that they can serve these patients is critical-for this reason, I have consistently advocated for timely and adequate physician compensation. Systemic reform is also crucial. The Medicare system needs the strengths inherent in the market-healthy competition that provides choice, flexibility and affordability The Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 introduced market forces into the system that have benefited millions of seniors since.

    Restore Medical Freedom

One positive thing I certainly can say about the recently departed White House press secretary and network commentator is that, as far as I know, he wasn’t a hypocrite, unlike so many others, with regard to the medical treatment he took. He did himself what he would have had the rest of us do. Recently, we have seen a spate of celebrity deaths. In 2005, ABC anchorman Peter Jennings died of lung cancer, despite a regimen of what his obituary called “aggressive chemotherapy.” Peter was only 67. Actor Heath Ledger, still in his twenties, died more recently from misuse of immensely profitable prescription drugs. Next was the sudden demise of Tim Russert. A blood clot did him in. No doubt all these celebrities enjoyed the best, most expensive attention the nation’s official medical industry can offer. Tim was only 58 and was taking heart medications when he died. Apparently they did nothing for his clots.

"Health care quality is improving only modestly, at best," claims Carolyn M. Clancy, M.D. "Given that health care spending is rising much faster, these findings about quality underscore the urgency to improve the value Americans are getting for their health care dollars.

In the past decade it has become apparent that many people want to take charge of their own health.  In order for you to accomplish this task, it is necessary to understand the body and its process of healing.  It is with this goal in mind that Dr. Rebecca Phillips, a chiropractic-physician, has prepared this tape.

    Don't Fight the Healing Process

In the course of following a nutritional program for allergies or other problems, many people experience uncomfortable symptoms.  This is known as healing reaction.  These symptoms occur because the body is ridding itself of the substances that have been making it toxic – not only the materials that have accumulated in the colon, but also the antibodies and other substances that have built up in the individual cells, interfering with their normal functioning.

    Who should die?

They say that in the event that there aren't enough medical supplies to go around, they have to prioritize who's going to get the medicines and who will get the treatment.  This is a pandemic.  This isn't if there is enough medicine to go around because somebody doesn't have enough money to afford them.  This isn't the case that the government is carrying everyone on their shoulder and oil is at $200 a barrel and we're spending our self into oblivion.

Top 10 Crimes Against Your Body

People have been pushing the limits of the human body since the beginning of time. Body piercing, tattoos, ear stretching, and more were used in ancient cultures as a rite of passage, to express spiritual beliefs and, often, to display varying cultural ideals of beauty.

    Your Doctor's Dilemma

You may be wondering, "If nutritional cures are so effective, how come my doctor hasn't told me?" Well, doctors are in the middle of a very difficult period. Insurance companies, government agencies, liability lawyers and the health care system are some of the daily pressures that physicians face. In addition, the giant pharmaceutical companies have a huge impact on the medical industry through their financial power. The drug companies give enormous grants to medical schools and influence what is taught to medical students. Professors also get needed money for basic research. Who pays the piper chooses the song.

The great debate on medical care is taking place in this year's presidential campaign. Much is made of the fact that care costs too much and that government isn't doing enough to provide coverage for the poor and elderly. Be careful - you may regret ever-encouraging government - controlled medicine........

    Congress Forced HMOs on Us

The federal government decided long ago that it knew how to manage your health care better than you and replaced personal responsibility and accountability with a system that puts corporate interests first. Our free market health care system that was once the envy of the world became a federally-managed disaster.
