Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide is a naturally occurring water-like liquid that has many practical applications both inside and outside the home.  Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is made up of two hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms.  H2O2 looks like water (H2O), but that extra oxygen molecule makes this natural water additive one of the most powerful oxidizers known to man.  It is formed in nature by the action of sunlight on water, and is even in honey!

You are probably already familiar with using the low grade 3% hydrogen peroxide.  Being a powerful oxidizer, hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria, viruses and fungi on surfaces.  This means it is also great for disinfecting your kitchen and bathroom.  You can make your household cleaner and safer just by substituting hydrogen peroxide for those caustic chemicals you are currently using.

As far back as the early nineteenth century, hydrogen peroxide was widely used in medicine. Many bacterial diseases, including syphilis, responded to H2O2 when no other treatment was effective. In the early twentieth century H2O2 was used to treat several common diseases, such as typhoid fever, cholera, ulcers, asthma, whooping cough, and tuberculosis.

Hydrogen Peroxide is the most over looked chemical used by man. New uses of it are coming to light every day. Bad bugs be they, in your garden or your body, they cannot live in an oxygen rich environment.

The medical uses of hydrogen peroxide were pioneered in this century by Dr. Edward Carl Rosenow who did research and treatment at the Mayo Clinic for 60 years, and who wrote many papers on the medical uses of hydrogen peroxide. Used together, ozone and hydrogen peroxide offer the world a bright and healthy future in the coming century.

Hydrogen peroxide is one of the few simple miracle substances still available to the public. Its safety and multiple uses ranks it right up there with DMSO. If you've never used either of these compounds you are overlooking two of the most powerful healing tools ever discovered.
