Illegal Immigration

Where do we start? What on earth can anyone do to change the grave results of adding 100 million people to the United States by 2040? What about the fact that the rest of humanity expects another three billion added by 2050? Why won’t our leaders speak up about an issue so dire that it affects every American today and in the future?

Why do Americans have to "Press 1 for English" to call their own government?  And why are Americans required to pay for interpreters and translations for people who refuse to learn English?  That's what Presidential Executive Order 13166 mandates. And it costs taxpayers $BILLIONS every year!  Tell Congress to repeal this unconstitutional mandate!  Click here to take action now!

The safety of our nation begins at its borders. It is therefore essential that our borders be secured and that our immigration bureaucracy honor those who abide by the laws and seeks to weed out those who would commit fraud.

In a brilliant expose’ of America’s accelerating immigration crisis, Ms. Froma Harrop of the Providence Journal smashed the ‘silent assertion’ nightmare hushed-up by the main stream media. In her August 28, 2008 piece, “Shhh! This scares both parties”, she thrilled me by writing about what I’ve exposed for the past 20 years!

Who would you believe in court? The illegal alien drug dealer who lied to everyone and was arrested many times carrying drugs, but was magically given immunity to testify against Ramos and Compean, or the two long standing and well liked border patrol agents who said they fired in self defense and didn’t even know they had hit Davila?

Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean, the two Border Patrol agents shamelessly prosecuted by the U.S. government for shooting and wounding a Mexican drug smuggler, Oswald Aldrete-Davila, on February 17, 2005, have not been forgotten by many Americans -- such as attorney's from Judicial Watch -- who are actively pursuing their release from captivity. The two Border Patrol agents were sentenced to 11 and 12 years respectively. Meanwhile, Aldrete-Davila, who attempted to smuggle 750 pounds of marijuana into the U.S., was given medical treatment and immunity for his testimony against the railroaded border agents.

Krikorian brings electrifying clarity to consequences brought about by relentless mass immigration. He exposes this devastating problem in all its complexities. He focuses on immigration’s dire consequences for the USA, which all start with our ignoring a cherished American first principle: Our government fails to live up to the basic Rule of Law set forth in Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence."

When I have raised the issue of the Visa Waiver Program to many of my friends on Capitol Hill from both sides of the political aisle, most agree with my concerns but they tell me that the executives of the travel, hospitality and tourism industries have invested incredible sums of money to hire major lobbying organizations to make certain that the Visa Waiver Program not be tampered with! These executives' greed clearly takes priority over decency and even commonsense. When the attacks of 9/11 occurred travel nose-dived around the world. If these greedy fools would think things out, they should be the greatest proponents for terminating the Visa Waiver Program because their industry depends on a safe airline system. Incredibly, while it is clear that the Visa Waiver Program constitutes a threat to national security, the politicians have permitted these greedy corporate executives to make national security decisions for our nation and all they appear concerned about is their profit margin! As one of my friends told me, these executives want illegal aliens to change the sheets in the hotel rooms and then want wealthy tourists to come to the United States to sleep on those sheets!

In the early 1980's I approached then New York Senator Alphonse D'Amato to attempt to interest him in becoming involved in a number of issues relating to immigration law enforcement. In a meeting he held with me, he asked me to get as many of my colleagues at the INS to corroborate what I had to say about failings of the INS. Over the next 6 months I managed to convince more than 30 of my fellow INS employees including some immigration inspectors (I started my career as an immigration inspector at John F. Kennedy International Airport) to attend meetings with members of the senator's staff in New York. Ultimately, Senator D'Amato met with me and three of my colleagues. We were told to expect the meeting to last 30 minutes. Instead he met with us for nearly 3 hours. This was the first time I would ever approach a member of the Congress to seek assistance with the enforcement and administration of the immigration laws. It was certainly not to be my last!

In 1908, President Teddy Roosevelt said, “The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, or presenting all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities.” While America imports 182,000 legal immigrants and illegal aliens every 30 days, a festering inability to get along with one another turns violent in communities across the land. Out of that 82,000 illegals monthly, a full 10 percent or 8,200 of them arrive as hardened criminals ready to ply their trade in our communities.

How fast do immigrants and illegal migrants pour into the United States? For a stupefying understanding of the numbers, every 30 days, 182,000 to 200,000 legal immigrants and illegal aliens arrive in America. To give you an idea of how many people that represents: those immigrants fill two 100,000 seat Pasadena Rose Bowls. At the end of the month, they empty into the streets, communities and states of America at a cost of $346 billion annually to U.S. taxpayers. They overload schools, hospitals and prisons. Even the legal immigrants tap into billions of dollars for resettlement into this country. Can anyone name a single, solitary reason for continuing this kind of national suicide? Who brings it to you? Your U.S. States Senate and House of Representatives!

Local police are accustomed to dealing with illegal border crossings, but they were astounded by the video of 15 Chinese immigrants unfolding themselves from the back of a red Suburban near this small border town.  More than nine out of 10 illegal immigrants detained at the U.S.-Mexico border are Mexican. But for years, this easternmost sector of the border has had more than its share of what the Border Patrol calls "other than Mexicans" or OTMs. The Rio Grande Valley sector has accounted for as many as half of the border's OTM apprehensions in recent years while having only one-tenth of the total border apprehensions.
