Gout is a form of arthritis that affects the big toe, other peripheral joints, tendons and kidneys. The first sign of an attack of gout is acute needle-like pain caused from uric acid crystals poking into the surrounding tissues which turns the joint bright red. Generalized fever may result. Gout happens from either overproduction or under-processing of uric acid, which allows it to build up in the blood, tissues, and urine.

As with all dis-ease, there are core causes. With arthritis, some of these causes are an acid body, allergies, heavy metals, low minerals, high or inappropriate minerals, posture, old traumas, emotional, bacterial infections, and even vaccines.

Those with post-vaccination arthritis are more likely to require substantial drugs to control the progression of their disease, one that has no cure. Johnson & Johnson's labeling for its drug Remicade will be updated with a boxed warning stressing that the drug can increase the risk of infections. The company's statement comes just 2 days before an advisory committee to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is scheduled to discuss whether stronger warnings are needed for Remicade and Enbrel.
