Half of what Americans eat comes from foreign countries not covered by the FDA-enforced measure. This situation leaves the nation vulnerable to bioterrorism via tainted food, according to experts participating in the FBI’s International Symposium on Agroterrorism. A director at a special Homeland Security Food Protection and Defense program admitted more foreign companies are registered with the Food and Drug Administration to sell products in this country than domestic firms. That means federal regulators in the U.S. have little control or say over the fast-growing global food market.

Michigan State Police officers have begun using state-of-the-art handheld equipment known as "extraction devices" to download personal information from motorists they pull over, even if they're not suspected of any crime. The devices give police officers the ability download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones.

Senate Bill 773 would create new “emergency” powers for the President to have power over any “non-governmental” computer networks, whether public or private, that are declared by the President to be “critical.”  The bill if passed would give the President of the United States the authority to declare a “cyber emergency” and close down the Internet by disconnecting users. “But there is no laughing about a government that wants to control cyber space, the last bastion of freedom of speech in our crumbling democracy,” said Baker.

An amendment to an executive order secretly signed by President Barack Obama on December 16, 2009 gives police officers from foreign governments police powers in the United States.  What is most disturbing to police chiefs and officers in the US is that the President has provided foreign officers and international agencies exemptions from laws and regulations to which US cops must comply.

The suspect attempted to detonate a device as the plane landed at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, according to the official report. While the details are still sketchy, the NYPD detective said that when passengers observed the suspect attempting to detonate the explosive device, they subdued him and held him for law enforcement. The White House immediately labeled the incident "an attempted terrorist act." Blurring the lines between law enforcement and the military appears to be the goal sought by Obama and the progressives. More federal control of local law enforcement while at the same time cross-training soldiers to perform the police function within the U.S appears to be Obama’s plan., according to the former intelligence officer and NYPD detective.

Alzheimer's is a frightening disease with little relief in sight for the sufferer. Recently, Alzheimer's patients are being promised assistance using a medical microchip that is surgically implanted into an Alzheimer patients flesh. The controversial microchip creator VeriChip Corp. is at the forefront of encouraging this surgical procedure for Alzheimer sufferers. In early September, up to 200 Alzheimer's patients living in the Palm Beach, Florida area were implanted with the microchip by the company VeriChip absolutely free. The story, carried by ABC TV News, caused one reporter to ask, "Is Big Brother watching?"

The former Arizona governor has been slow to respond to the violence and chaos that exists at the US-Mexican border and continues to hesitate in dealing with an out-of-control immigration problem. Instead, Napolitano pointed to the US-Canadian border as cause for concern, going so far as to say the 9-11 terrorists entered the United States from Canada.  Napolitano subsequently was forced to apologize to the Canadian government and had to correct her erroneous statement. The fact that the nation's top terrorism fighter didn't know from where the men -- who committed the worst terrorist attack in US history -- entered this nation did not instill must confidence in her knowledge and ability.

While the mainstream news media are hyping President Barack Obama's election and the dismal economic downturn in the United States, more and more states are declaring -- or have already declared -- sovereignty. According to political experts such as strategist Mike Baker, Americans are becoming disenchanted with the federal government's lack of perspective on issues of great concern -- illegal aliens, crime, economic turmoil -- while intruding into the private lives of citizens with gun-control laws and other intrusions.
